One day Sal stops being Miranda's friend. All of a sudden he won't talk to her, or walk home from school with her. Things only get worse when she starts getting mysterious letters from a stranger. These letters are confusing and they talk about events that haven't even happened yet. Meanwhile, Miranda still has to deal with regular sixth grade life and also help her mother prepare to be on the game show The $20,000 Pyramid. How do all these pieces fit together? Who is writing the letters? Who is the laughing man?
